The Dental Foundation of Oregon awarded $1,500 to the Resource Center to fund Medical Teams International mobile dental clinics that will take place at Tigard-Tualatin elementary schools and serve children with no dental insurance who have urgent care needs. "We are proud to support organizations such as the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center," said Karleanne Rogers, Dental Foundation of Oregon executive director, "They make a vitally important contribution to improving the oral health of disadvantaged children, Oregon's most vulnerable population." City of Tualatin Grant awarded to the Resource Center for $5,500! The grant will help pay for after-school activities for children without resources when no scholarships are available, Medical Teams International Dental Vans that will take place at Tualatin Elementary schools and see children with urgent needs and no dental insurance, sponsoring our 3rd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, bus tickets to assist low-income families in getting to medical and counseling appointments, job interviews and other locations and keeping the Center open longer. Holiday Donation from Pete’s Coffee of Bridgeport Village, employees donated their tips from December 24th to the Resource Center. Tips totaled $684 and were matched by Peet’s Coffee for a total of $1,368! Thank you Peet’s Coffee employees and company.

Holiday Donations from Novellus of Tualatin: Novellus employees did a holiday drive for the Resource Center, bringing in around $700 of toys and food as well as $2,734.50 that was matched by the company for a grand total of $5,469 in cash donations. The toys and food as well as other toys purchased with their donations sponsored 16 families. The remaining money will be broken up among a variety of programs including funding a dental van to assist uninsured students with urgent care needs, clothing, food and furniture vouchers for low-income families, expanded Center hours, supplies for volunteer-led classes, prescription assistance and other needed items. Legacy Meridian Park Hospital Auxiliary donates $1,200 to the Resource Center to pay for two Medical Teams International Dental Vans to serve Tigard-Tualatin School District children with urgent dental needs who do not have dental insurance.

Novellus Systems, Inc. donated $6,820 to the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center. Employees raised $3,410 as part of a holiday drive that also included toys and food for our clients. Novellus Systems, Inc. matched the employee donations for a grand total of $6,820.
